The founder of Apothecary 87 had spent a fair portion of his adult life at the top of his industry as a bartender/event organizer. Despite the fact that he had knowledge and experience beyond his years, people treated him like a kid because of his youthful appearance. He realized that growing a beard would make him appear older and more mature. And this approach worked brilliantly! Not only did people treat him like an adult, but the beard served as way for people to remember him. It wasn't long until he realized a beard requires quite a bit of conditioning and looking after. Having tried a multitude of different beard oils, he felt that many were far too feminine. So, many moons were spent researching the best ingredients to make a beard oil that was uniquely his. Being a man, he wanted a beard oil that would smell like a man's beard. His manly-scented beard oil was an instant hit. His friends started asking him to make some for them in addition to bearded-strangers on the internet who admired his whiskers and the oil he used to keep them looking groomed.
