Kemper

Kemper Snowboards was officially founded in 1987 by David Kemper, who built the first boards in his garage in Ontario, Canada as early as 1984/85. Once the brand really started to see some traction, snowboard production was moved to a factory in Montreal, Canada for the 1988/89 snow season. By 1990 the production was moved to Austria. 

Kemper Snowboards Quickly became one of the biggest snowboarding brands in the history of the sport, competing directly with well-know industry giants like Burton, Sims and Barfoot. Kemper is often best remembered for fully embracing the zany neon aesthetic of the late 80's in not only their board design, but also in their  incredible range of funky outerwear. 

In 1989 business was booming and Kemper had one of the most exciting professional snowboard teams of the era. By 1992, David Kemper sold his remaining shares of the company to focus on completing his college education. Without their iconic leader on board, Kemper snowboards changed hands a number of times before eventually going out of business in the mid to late '90's. 

But Kemper's storied history isn't quite over... In 2018 former professional snowboarder Jib Hunt relaunched the brand determined to return it to its former glory. By 2019, Hunt moved the companies headquarters to one of the best and most famous snowboarding spots in the world, Park City. This offered the brand greater exposure and better positioning to break into the current snowboarding scene. 

Now you can get an official Kemper board with all the performance of modern tech along with the same iconic graphics Kemper Snowboards were renown for. Kemper produces freestyle snowboards, park snowboards, powder snowboards, splitboards, and snowboard packages.
