Man Ray

The design of one of the most iconic chess sets to date was inspired by Man Ray's lifelong friendship with fellow artist and chess enthusiast Marcel Duchamp. The goal of this brand is to bring re-editions of the set based on the original 1920 Man Ray Wooden Chess Set in the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The very same set that later became the inspiration for a large silver version visible in the MoMA collection. With elegant Beech Wood, these chess sets reimagine traditional pieces into pure geometric forms.
